Well, that's one that missed the original point and made no strong presence of its own. I think I understand your feeling...

If it helps, sometimes the best is to go with the image - leave your planned shot and go where the session takes you. That said, I really think you could get a very interesting result with the original (ie silhouette) setup. IMHO... and taking that one step further, I'd move in, leaving only the very top of the wall (the one she's sitting). Just a fast and simple idea, P. J.... thinks very often end up diff from our ideas, no matter how we try.

The original concept, (yes I actually do plan these shots a bit ahead of time), was to leave the figure in silhouette, but I wanted to get some detail in the stone retaining wall/dock. When I lightened up the wall, I discovered that the young woman made for a nice bright focal point. So I decided to bring out some detail and color in her, which lead to the dock becoming too bright, so I adjusted contrast with curves. Now she was too dark again. I made a new curves adjustment, the girls figure is back the dock is OK but now the islands and boats are getting washed out. Sheesh, this was just supposed to be a throwaway, PESO. So to make a long story short this became a major project. Multiple adjustment layers and still I can see people not liking it. But I spent the entire early evening working on it so I'm going to post it anyway.
