If the serial number is 3711851, then it's the one that was stolen
from me last November, and I want it back! :-)
Seriously, I paid about $485 for it new, and now can't afford to
replace it, as the Japanese collectors just want too much for them,
and no one in the USA seems to want to part with theirs for any less.
Good luck

Hi ,
I have the opportunity to acquire a used FA 85 f1.4 but in Like new
condition complete with original box manual packing etc....
How does it perform on the K10D/K20D or K7 ? ( currently own a K10D
but will probably get the K7 soon)
Damn, if I know. The M85 f2.0, not as well thought of by a long
shot, is good enough that I constantly wish there was an A version,
(or that Pentax hadn't ditched the mechanical connections).
What would be a reasonable price to pay for it ?
Which arm and which leg would you feel comfortable without? Most
people who have them won't part with them.
Seriously, somewhere above $1000. is probably where the market
stands right now. I haven't seen one for sale in quite some time.

There is no off position to the genius switch.
Genius can, however, be observed as insanity.
