the s-m-c-t, smct, and smck 55mm/1.8-2.0 lenses are all the same optically. The 2.0 versions have a fixed limiter installed to slow them down.
The first version (s-m-c-t) is the nicest mechanically, its the one that has the metal focus ring and says "super-multi-coated-takumar", not "smc" takumar. They are fairly rare compared to the "smc" versions. Avoid the super tak versions which are not multicoated, those are real sharp but contrast suffers. The k versions are just as good as the smc takumar versions optically, but they are a step down from the pinnacle s-m-c-t version. -- J.C.
