It's not SPAM, because it's not sent to a huge sample of people who may not even be interested. It's sent to those who have indicated they are Pentax users. I'm pleased to receive their update notices. How many do they send? Perhaps one or two a month. I can't imagine that it's a burden for any Pentax user. You may be a group of one on this. But they should shut if off if you complained. You have a legitimate gripe there. But it's not SPAM.
