If you registered your camera or new lens on Pentax Imaging (remember
"upgrade your warranty to 3 years when you register your K20D online"
campaign? Bet there was a SPAM checkbox there.
Plus, I have received about 1 advertisement per month from Pentax
after I checked "Please keep me up to date on the release of the new
Pentax K-7" on the B&H website.

Pentax - SPAMMERS!
This has been discussed before, and I know that some PDMLers
enjoy receiving e-mails they didn't subscribe (as long as those are
coming from their favorite company).
After creating an account on Pentax's Gallery website,
I started receiving their marketing and "informational" messages
(aka SPAM in my world). I've tried to unsubscribe at least twice
already, if not thrice, using the information provided there,-
with NO results.
I keep receiving Pentax messages.
Yes, if you didn't specifically request it, it's spam. And if they
don't unsubscribe you when requested it's a violation of federal law.
