I have NO problem trusting Mark.

As I said, I have a reflexive hatred of JPEG as a format; too many cases
of "this was fine before several someones re-sampled this at 75% five or
six times over the course of a couple of years"; it's not rational, and
I don't think it's rational.

It might even be less rational than my conviction that I've never yet
taken a picture worth printing in a book. Something your examples are
not help with! :)
