Ecke, my problem with the web is the way things cling online, no matter
what I try to erase them. Not that I wouldn't admit I wrote and posted
something, but old versions of photos, small, badly scanned. Texts with
spelling errors in languages old and new.
Being raised in Brasil at the final moments of a military dictatorship
gave me the understanding that any thing I don't want to be public is
better kept in my mind - and last time I asked my wife I still don't
talk asleep. :-)
So everything I speak and write is meant to be published - just not
everywhere as some ideas work better in the right places.
If it's well received, pls talk to my agent to schedule additional
presentations. If it's not, pls address my lawyers but beware - we all
believe in self-defence. You do believe in self defence, don't you
Morris???? Don't let me down... :-)

I google myself now and then to see what data is availble about me on
the iNet (answered research questions about my work relationship with
a past supervisor once and what I said was published under my real
name without my permission or even a word to me so I guess I've gotten
a bit cautious) and found that all communication on PDML can be
readily accessed through www.mail-archive.com so that has me wondering
if there is any way to opt out of that to protect my privacy. By way
of example, I use private Picasa web album links for a reason and if
they are on mail-archive.com, they are not really private any more. Am
I just being paranoid or is this a concern for anyone else, too?
Cheers
