Hi Larry- Thanks for the info on the Giottos LCD screen. My *istDs has a plastic LCD peel-on/peel-off protector. It's never been dropped like this (knock on wood). The K200D didn't have a protector, but the lens did have a UV filter. Hoping that did some good.
