I've seen folks at the Monterey Historics and other vintage racing events
using things very much like these to hold small video cameras. The 1/4"
thread is, I believe, a standard tripod thread.
Bummer, it only goes to 1 5/8" and our cage is 1 3/4" ... I'll have to
keep looking. I can't use a lot of camera mounts because anywhere the
roll cage allows an upward view through glass (rather than metal) it's
really close to the bodywork. Their "XXL Roll Bar Mount" might work,
though, if I can find one in stock in the US.
