IMNSHO, MLU is one of the most overrated of all camera features.

I did a simple test years ago--with a mid-level consumer camera (I think it
was a Nikon 6006) I did a bunch of identical shots (including macro and time
exposure) with and without MLU. Nobody could tell the difference. I stopped
worrying about it.
