I couldn't remember what that was! I googled Dan Bass, Dan Armstrong (which I knew was wrong, but for whatever reason it came to mind); I knew it was Dan something, and yeah, Danelectro, that's it (or a knockoff). I don't play any instruments, but in the early '80's I worked in the warehouse of Canada's largest music store, and saw a lot of nice (and not so nice) guitars and knockoffs pass through the doors.
