Download it and give it a try - I think you may be surprised.

The database doesn't organize photos, it keeps track of where you've
organised them. It helps you find them easily and make different collections
without having to keep duplicates of your pictures.

What are your issues with the database? If you haven't used it, how do you
know it's damnable?

You probably can do the same things in Photoshop, but you can do them far
more easily with a massively better user interface. Remember, the same team
that developed PS have applied their experience of all those years, combined
it with photographers' specific needs, and come up with something tailored
for photographers.

Bob

Maybe I wasn't clear. I did "give it a try" ... on other computers. I know several Lightroom evangelists.

My issue is all the myriad complaints I've seen about lost catalogs, bodged up EXIF, lost keywords, scrambled backups ... here and elsewhere.

I already know where my images are, how they're organized, and how to find what I want when I want it.

Lightroom is a program to fix something I ain't got broke.
