That's an alien that feeds off heroin-like endorphins that exist in the
human brain. Your friend is very lucky that he has one of the few
special cameras that can actually reveal these creatures.
Or, as Dario suspects, it's flare caused by the flash being reflected
from jewelry on the person just to the right of the lens in that shot.
It's one or the other anyway.
