I think the presentation makes it!
Good subject and composition.
The first thing that jumps out at me is the overall 'flatness' of the color.
Have you done anything with the saturation?
The hanging power line doesn't bother me, but take it out if it bothers you.

Tell me what you think of this.
I'm going through old files deciding what to delete from my
hard-drive (backed up 4 places). These are from 2007 & I realized I
took these intending to merge them into a panorama, but had never
done so.
I couldn't get a decent rectangular image out of it, so I decided to
try something different. Tell me what you think not only of the
image, but of the presentation.
I already think I need to brighten it some before converting to sRGB.
Might just need a levels adjustment layer. I got so involved in
creating the frame I forgot that.
I was a little far into building it before I realized I needed to
correct the perspective, so it's not as square and true as I'd like
it to be, but if the idea and the presentation work, I'll to make it
over correcting the perspective and other mistakes before generating
the frame.
Also, about 2/3 of the way to the left, there's a hanging power line
the archaeologists are using and some of their equipment is covered
by a tarp.
Do you think they're distracting? Should I try to get rid of 'em?
