Anyone who wants to go spend time in Oxford is in for a real treat. Oxford has great architecture and great places to see. Take lots of memory cards and lots of lenses. You'll have a ball.

This one is, as I say, odd. I found it while going through some old
stuff. It's a B&W (film) shot from several years ago: Pentax MX,
A50/1.4 and Ilford Delta 400.

This shot was seriously underexposed, yielding a very thin negative
and a very grainy print. But I still kind of liked the shot. So,
rather than trying to hide the grain, I tried to *emphasize* it as
much as possible. I think I like the result...

It's got an almost menacing feel to it.

And it makes Tom Cakalic want to go there. Makes you worry about him,
doesn't it? ;-)

Terrific photo.

Thanks (and to everyone else who commented). This is one of those
shots that you can't quite judge yourself. That the on-line version
looks OK is reassuring because you can't see the grain properly in the
downsampled web version: The full-rez one looks *much* better and I
think it'll make a great print.
