Wow, I could go on and on, but I'll try to be brief: I've learned how little I know about photography. As a rank amateur, it's very humbling (but informative) to watch some of the threads about general photographic concepts, such as the metering thread that's going on now.
OTOH, it's interesting to see that so many concepts are controversial - how so many aparently knowledgeable people can have differing viewpoints. I've learned a bit about Pentax equipment, some of which I hardly knew existed. Prior to my involvement here, I thought of Pentax as a 35mm SLR manufacturer. I'd heard of or seen the 645, but had no idea that the 67 existed - now I want one (after I get an MX!) I've come to appreciate my Spotmatics and Takumar lenses a bit more. I've learned how to put a filter on my e-mails, so I can put the 150 or so pdml messages we all get each day into a separate folder. :-) I've learned to be VERY humble about my photographic skills (such as they are) by looking at the other entries to PUG every month. I've learned what a great community of helpful folks are here. regards, frank -- "The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds. The pessimist fears it is true." -J.
