Len, Just the opposite. I feel guilty owning so many. The fewer I can get by with, the happier. The question, "Why hold on to duplicates?" is an interesting one. In my case, the duplicates are in 135 and 200mm, where I own both the Pentax SMC f/2.5 version in K mount and the Vivitar Series 1 equivalent in screwmount. I keep the Vivitars because they focus closer and are better wide open. I keep the Pentaxes because they're K mounts and--well, they're Pentaxes. Also, though my Pentax 200 has seen little use, the recent purchase of 1.4X and 2X teleconverters should change that. I like my 400/5.6 PKA, but I wouldn't want to travel with it.
