Hi I want to thank everyone who responded to my query. Fred's and Rob's web pages were particularly helpful.
Also I spent Sunday going over all my negatives during the last 11 years, and noticed that proper framing (e.i. keeping the horizon parallel to the bottom of the neg frame) would have improved about 30% of my architectural photos (to justify my bad composition, I originally shot buildings just to document their features and size) , some others would have been better, if I'd had shot from an angle to include two walls with the corner being perpendicular to the bottom of the neg frame, and problems begin when using lens lengths wider than 50mm. Finally, most architectural studies that I shoot occur in the country or small towns, so that I have space to use a longer focal length lens, consequently perspective isn't such a major issue, and these type of shots compose less than 20% of my photo interests. So I think that buying this lens, for me is a bit of a luxury or toy. Spring is fast approaching (I hope) and I want to have the longer focal length lens (400-500mm) for when the birds return. So thanks again everyone. herb - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
