I like that much better in B&W - the riders stand out nicely from the
low contrast background.  The cropping works - it's not much, but
reducing the extent of the sky was a good move.

Yes - the way the wheel is following the groove in the road makes for an
interesting image.  The slightly out-of-focus face doesn't bother me -
it adds a feeling of movement.

I think I prefer the colour version slightly.  There seems to be better
contrast between the riders and the background.
