So can we stop it? More importantly does it make sense to even try? I've never seen an analysis of either of those questions that didn't depend on unicorn dust...
I don't know if we can stop it, but there are things we can do to reduce our own contribution to the problem. And just maybe, that contribution is what might tip the balance one way or another.
Makes sense to me to do what we can to not screw things up any worse than we have to.
