Does the MZ-S use an IR detector for frame counting? I taught a
black and white workshop last year, and one of the people had
some sort of Canon camera that refused absolutely to recognize
her roll of AgfaPan, but had no problems with a roll of T-400CN
that I had in my bag. This camera used an IR device for
detecting the film advance length.
I surmised at the time that the black and white film was IR
transparent, and so the camera couldn't see the sprocket holes.
