I bought a new enlarger today. It was from an expired ebay auction. It's an early DII or D2 with the Omega cold light head. I talked to a number of people about this, including the guy who runs the Classic Enlarger web site that specializes in old Omega stuff, he and others claim it's a good head that is at least as bright as the standard Aristo or Zone VI heads. In fact, the guy at Classic contends that may be the most evenly lit of all the cold light heads, and that it has taken a bad rap. So being a fan of cold light heads, I bought. We will see. Now I'm looking for a 105 lens for 6x7. Recommendations?
