Let's go for the 28th then. 9am is distinctly optimistic for me. If I get the train I won't arrive much before midday at Mcr Picc. I'd then have to get to Trafford Park, which I've never been to. In fact, I haven't been to Manchester at all since 1976. Roll on HS2, I say. Trains from London to Manchester are a nightmare - presumably because no Secretary of State for Transport has ever wanted to go there on a Sunday. I'll investigate the car options, which might be more sensible than the train.
