Ortlieb are expensive, but I know a few guys who use them and love them. They're totally waterproof, very well made, and conveniently shaped. Personally, I prefer a single strap bag for messengering, and I think all the Ortlieb bags I've seen are double strap. Double strap are better for your back and shoulders, but not (to my mind) as convenient for getting packages in and out of the bag. There are several very good Canadian bags (Push, Under the Weather, PAC, Cocotte) that most local messengers use. As for panniers, Subash, I'd have to agree with Eck - Ortlieb has a great reputation. I've not used panniers at all, but around here they're considered the gold standard. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
