Sorry Christine - while the photos are technically good, I find the stiff
poses so reminiscent of the worst kind of snapshot that adorns so many
family albums. The subjects seem to have been asked to dress in their best
and then pose in front of mainly nondescript backgrounds that seldom say
anything about them as a person. Just like snaps of me taken by my
grandmother when I was seven. I browsed through several galleries, and they
are so consistent in this style that it becomes boring, even though the
individual people are often interesting, and I would love to know their
story.
In addition, the prose is self-indulgent in the extreme, and the use of
capitals for every word is just so "artsy" it made me unwilling to read it!

She could win the next Turner Prize with this work!

My apologies for being so negative, I guess I just don't get it here.

Thought some of you might be interested in these lovely portraits of women
from Georgia taken by Vanessa Winship. I enjoy Winship's work & hadn't been

to her site in a while & just now was treated to this lovely, elegant
collection. Apparently, Winship was in the UK last October.
