I have misplaced my manual for the AF-500 FTZ Flash and have not used it in about 2 years.
Some stupid questions: Right now I just want to use it in full auto mode on my PZ-1p. Can someone tell me where the switches should be set for this? When I set aperture on the PZ-1p for the desired DOF, let's say f8, exposure time is correspondingly increased to 1/4 sec. When I have the AF500-FTZ on the camera and press the shutter button, the flash fires and I get a 1/4 sec exposure, which is obviously wrong. Maybe there's an additional item I need to set on the PZ-1p? When I have the switch set to USER mode, then I get an appropriate exposure time like 1/30 sec, but I lose control over the aperture. If I set the aperture in USER mode, then the same thing happens as above. I get a long exposure with the flash firing... which just does not seem right. I'm a dunce with this flash, not having used it in so long. Thanks. Tom - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
