The K135/2.5 is among my most used lenses, and it appears to yield results that
are similar in color and sharpness to the K85/1.8. And, as I've stated earlier,
I've also had great success with the Vivitar Series 1 90/2.5. However, there's
a big "but" attached to that. I rarely make any wet prints from color film, be
it negative or transparency. I scan the film and print digitally. So if there
is a lack of saturation or contrast, I adjust for that in PhotoShop. I haven't
really studied original transparencies at great length for apparent
differences. And very few scans look great right out of the box. But, in terms
of end results, the Vivitar is certainly capable of producing deep, vibrant
color, as are the two Pentax lenses. However, I may undertake a comparison of
the 85/1.8 Pentax and the 90/2.5 Series 1 Vivitar on transparency film. I think
that would be interesting.
