Yes, I should have mentioned. The final transition is maybe 100 metres from the finish line. Most of them still had their bike shoes on as well. Some of them were able to put on a good sprint and others were only able to manage a hobble. The more exhausted / sore someone was, the bigger the cheer from the crowd. The atmosphere was really good and it was visibly lifting the competitors' spirits. BTW I just changed the photo gallery template so the images are shown a lot larger. If you go back for another look you may need to clear your cache or the pics will look crappy (more so than usual;).
