That light is probably going to be a problem for any camera.
Maybe in five years sensors that'll handle it well will be affordable.
Would the dancers be totally bummed if you used just a little bit of
flash?
Yup.
Apart from the flash being annoying, especially when you're having a
nice romantic, or sexy, dance with someone, a flash would make the
photography a lot less discrete.
