I used to work in public relations and fundraising for a children's charity
and in that capacity I would occasionally come in contact with celebrities
who were engaged in our fundraising events. Most were quite gracious.
Perhaps that was related to the fact that they were helping the charity in
the first place.
However, there was one male Country Western singer who proved to be the
exception. He was fairly gracious for most of the event (though he did seem
somewhat bored to be there). But when a female co-worker of mine asked him
to move a small equipment case for her, he told her, "I hire people to do
sh** like that!" as he walked off. He lost my respect.
