I have the same experience, and also did I never handed over my camera. There is one thing you need to realise: you have a Pentax hanging around your neck, so there is no desire to take the camera which was handed to you and run. The other way around: obviously there is every reason to fear someone would take a Pentax. Did I mention I am a Pentax fan?
