An agency in South Carolina that I've done some work for has one. They use
it to print vehicle wraps on vinyl. That's the way hot-dog semi-trailers
and cargo vans are painted these days.

Atlex is now offering the Epson 11880 for just 8K -- with free
shipping. Time to buy! The retail price is more than 11K. It prints with
K3 inks through nine channel heads, so that's about as good as it gets
.The printer can turn out 64 inch wide pics, so if you're printing a
rectangular image that means you can go to 8 feet x 5 feet. or how about
a 15 feet by 5 feet panorama? Yeah, the ink might get expensive, but
what's a little money spent in the pursuit of art? Of course, you'll
need that 645D to generate files large enough for this printer, so
figure a cool twenty grand or so. Still a bargain by any measure.
I want one. I hope Santa and the Easter Bunny are listening.
