The bird is a Purple Gallinule....
I like your shot... in the smaller version on your site... . When I
enlarge it , it gets too big and partly flows off my screen... nothing
to do with your photo just the site - or can you adjust the settings so
one of the options
is getting to see a photo that is 800 or 1000 pixels wide?
I don't mind the background not being blurred out - the environment is
part of the story... nice composition,
yes, a bit soft ... but a nice capture for birders , who would be able
to tell immediately who this guy is...
He is a wader - not a swimmer like a ducky -
