If I lock on well enough that the shutter releases, I generally get good 
autofocus with all of my lenses. Shooting vertically, the far outside point is 
usually good for me when I'm real loose on a subject. On tighter portrait or 
full body shots, the next one in is usually good. On a horizontal like the shot 
you presented today, I'd probably go with the upper right corner focus point. 
Again, if i get a lock and a beep, nd the shutter releases, the focus will be 
accurate. That's proven true even shooting action like moving cars or Grace's 
t-ball games. 

Too bad we aren't in the same area. It would be interesting to swap cameras and 
lenses and see if there's a difference. Maybe at GFM.
