I installed Photoshop CS4 the other day. I don't use any plugins, I just saved out my CS2 actions, did the install, and reloaded my actions, then installed the latest Camera Raw. Done, no drama at all. Works fine (although CS4 has some known color management glitches). Much faster loading and a little faster operation even though I'm on the same old same old Mac G5. Even works better on my more ancient PowerBook G4.
Regards the Epson 2450 ... Mac OS X's Image capture recognizes and drives it just fine if I want to use that. I usually use VueScan: does a better job than anything else I've tried, including Epson software.
