I have no beefs with Adobe. Their software installs easily, quickly,

80% of malware exploits in 2009 targeted Adobe Reader.
It's worth avoiding for that reason alone.
Not one of those on Mac OS X that I am aware of. Is it also worth
avoiding Windows for that reason?
I believe the Acrobat Reader installs the entire Acrobat composer and
compiler as well. It just doesn't allow you to use it until you pay
the big bucks to upgrade. That's my opinion of why it's so large.
And my version, the latest version, on the Mac, still tells me every
time it's launched that I should upgrade to the latest version, "Would
you like me to do that now?" I found out years ago if I selected "Go
Ahead" it would disable my "Incorrectly Installed" CS3, which I own!
Since re-installing it, I've never said Yes to any Adobe prompt since.
Nor will I ever.
