Cotty, IIRC, this is the third or fourth time on the list you've said
something like that, that it's no longer the same world or something to
that effect. i would like you to expand on that, if you may. am just
curious to know what exactly you mean by that. you may choose not to, of
course :-))

It's not the same society. A VERY BAD THING happened on September 11, 2001, and ever since then, governments have been using it as an excuse to consolidate power. Perhaps they see the really big camera as a threat, perhaps they just see the really big camera as an easy target of harassment so that it looks like they are doing something while doing nothing that will benefit anyone. Great Britain is leading the Fascist charge, and we are all moving closer and closer to effectively living in elected dictatorships where we have no freedoms. The fact that in Britain a street photographer who has done no wrong can be arrested for "antisocial positioning of a camera" should scare the living shit out of anyone who leaves their home with a camera strap around their neck.
