Here are some quick test sets:

I'll post a few more sets in this collection as time goes on.

The quick, first impression review:

In almost every way, it's a huge step forward from the K100.
Things that the K100 do better:
  More comfortable shape
  optical depht of field preview
  visible focus points

I'm not sure I like the display on the back. I need a way to blank the screen when working in the dark.

I haven't done a lot at ISO 200 to compare them, but I wouldn't be surprised if the K100 proved to have slightly better image quality at low ISO.

The two biggest areas of improvement for the Kx that I've noticed are:
metering (It seems to work!!!)
High ISO on it is amazing. ISO 6400 is actually usable. I need to find out how they do 12,800, whether that's done with circuitry, or just by underexposing at 6400 by a stop and correcting with math.

The autofocus seems like it may actually work better than the K20.

Overall, it is an amazing piece of kit for $500.
