I had two of the combination Sandisk USB/SD cards fail on me just
outside the period over which they were in production, I was pretty
pissed that they were so badly put together I tried to get them
replaced under warranty or be compensated with even a regular SD card
of similar capacity.

First I got a big run around between the retailers and the local
distributors, then I got onto the international warranty services,
they got me to send scans of the units and a whole heap of other
information which I sent several times and I've hear nothing in six
months.

So in the case of Sandisk cards the warranty is absolute crap, they
couldn't be bothered basically, I tend to buy Transcend cards now.
