Hi folks, Thanks to all who responded with helpful advice about static control. And thanks, Bob G., for the information about RubaChem wipes! Those ZeroStat guns look like they'd work pretty well, although it's somewhat more expensive than I expected. The wipes and sprays sound pretty economical, and I'm anxious to see if the wipes leave any kind of residue.
I looked into those Staticmaster brushes from NRD (Grand Island, NY), and found out that in Canada, one apparently needs a CDN $700 license to possess these -- due to the small amount of polonium-210 they contain??!! Wow! (At least this is what is listed on a distributor's website.) Good thing there's an exemption from such requirements in the US! I found a distributor who lists the 1" and 3" brushes for US $20 and $33, respectively. Not sure if the manufacturer will sell these direct for a better price.
