Since the K-X reputedly gets a lot better results than the Sony camera
that uses the same sensor, one would assume the difference comes from
improvements the processing engine and firmware. Perhaps these
improvements could migrate into a new camera to get better results
from the K7's sensor (or an improved version of that sensor).

I'm one who has stayed with the K20D. I won't be upgrading until
something with a lot better resolution shows up. That probably means
full frame.
