Which photos do you print your photos on matte or glossy paper?
For example, would you print up to 16x20 on glossy to preserve
detail, and bigger than that on matte to help obscure pixelation?
I print most of my colour photos on Epson Premium Photo Paper Glossy,
unless the image is not as sharp as I like, in which case I use Ilford
Galerie Smooth Pearl.
I used Pearl for almost all my printing from film negs in the olden
days, and just discovered gallerie smooth pearl or classic pearl..
I find I prefer my black and white images on matte paper, and I am
currently in love with Harman Matt FB Mp.
Seems to me I get better black and white prints out of matte paper, too
- with less effort. The non matte
finishes oblige me to adjust colors to get true black. but I don't do a
lot of serious printing these days.
