A friend in my nature photography group had an interesting problem
recently. One of his SDHC cards went bad; couldn't read the card,
couldn't recover the images.
Then he found out the card was eating card READERS. Any card reader used
in the attempt to read the card wouldn't read any other cards afterwards.
Got me thinking. I've got a SDHC reader built into my notebook. Don't
think I'd want to have to get it replaced, but I wonder if it could do
anything ELSE to the notebook beyond frying the reader.
