I have been the beneficiary of a windfall from ebay, an SMCT 35mm f2 lens in
mint condition for a very good price. It is a beautiful lens and from the
first roll of B&W I have shot with it, a very, very sharp lens. But it has
a peculiarity that I have never noticed in any lens before: the lens has a
yellowish coloration that is rather pronounced, almost like a Y2 filter.
Has anyone had experience with anything like this? It will work fine for
B&W and for color negatives, but I'm afraid the yellow tint will give me
very warm slides.
