Not to mention the fact that those bodies won't work with most
of the lenses people have; DA lenses don't fit on a Spotmatic,
and only work wide open on a K1000.  I don't think we need to
invent obstacles to make it hard for people to participate.

Send an appropriate lens along with the camera. If I donated a spotty, I'd mount a supertak 50/1.4 and would suggest something similar for a K1000.

I'd prefer the likes of a FA* 250-600/5.6 ED [IF] zoom, or at least a DA* 300/4 ED [IF] SDM to be shipped around for use with our DSLR camera bodies.

We could then compare bird photos, cormorants even!

So who has the lenses to contribute?

(Can you tell I just got a gimbal mount head)
