Good for you. 

You should order the booklet "The Magic of Darkroom Art" from Preston
Publications (phototechmag.com). Wretched title--I couldn't do anything
about that--it was originally supposed to be called "The Photographic
Darkroom," subtitled "A Primer." It's meant to be a basic publication
covering most of the aspects of setting up a new darkroom. I wrote a number
of the articles, one or two bylined, one or two not. It's in magazine format
and costs only $7.95 or something like that. You might get some good
pointers out of it since you're just getting going.
