I believe there's basically no difference. Possibly a free or reduced price support call or two on the full retail version. I think another difference is that the full retail license can be moved from computer to computer, as long as it's only on one computer at a time while the OEM license ties it to a single computer forever. "Single computer" as defined by Windows Genuine Advantage.
