I agree with the general notion of a possible change in venue. Nothing against Sue, the Gallery itself was very nicely done, etc. Issues, aside from location - a "real" for-profit Gallery is not likely to get the volume of sales to make such a large show worthwhile. Non-profit galleries (e.g., Universities, community centers, bank lobbies) may be reluctant to see the images offered for sale just because of the book-keeping hassles. I like the idea of a peripatetic show but you may have found the unique appropriate locale Christine.
I know some people who know some people in the local arts and gallery community - I plan to float the general concept with them but it will be a month before I can do that. stan On May 24, 2010, at 2:48 PM, Christine Aguila wrote: > ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Sullivan" <[email protected]> > To: "Pentax-Discuss Mail List" <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, May 24, 2010 11:43 AM > Subject: Annual PDML exhibition??? > > >> Christine, >> >> A gallery exhibition in different cities around the world would be fun, >> but let's see how this one turns out first. >> How are the participants going to feel once the gallery is down and >> pictures returned home? >> Would they be willing to do it again next year?
