Yes, they are extremely overpriced. The current "top" model (control freak) touches the price of a limited. The lens is a simple two lens design. Mechanically it looks like a DIY project. The bellows is a plastic tube, something like a squeezebottle for developer. Changing the aperture is the craziest construction possible. I found a used copy for Pentax and couldn't resist. From what I saw on other forums I expected to sell the baby sooner or later. Boy I was wrong. The optics are amazing no CA, razer sharp in the sweet spot and a very creamy bokeh. Makes me wonder if the optics are really that "simple".
