Or even not-so-serious photography.
About a year ago I decided to go out to the "Muddy Sneaker 20k" trail race to
shoot some photos for fun and for my web page. I thought the out of date
Ektachrome 200 I had would be fine for web use and it was, really. Then 8 months
later I get an email from an editor who wants me to write an article about this
race for a regional magazine...and also use some of the photos I took last year.
I guess they'll be *acceptable* but I'm really wishing I'd used fresh Provia
400F or E100SW pushed one stop.

You never know when the shot of a lifetime will appear before you. You *do* have
a say in what kind of film might be in your camera if/when it happens.
